Rest Of India vs Vidarbha 2019: Irani Cup, Nagpur – Day 2 Review; After an even-steven day on Day 1 of the match, the second day also went in a similar fashion. Both the sides played with a lot of grit and determination to hold their nerve in the middle. Sanjay and Akshay Wadekar are the performers on Day 2 of the match.

Sanjay Raghunath scores 65:

After bundling out Rest Of India for 330 on the board, Vidarbha got a decent 50-run partnership for the first wicket before the skipper Faiz Fazal walking back with 27 runs to his name. He was quickly followed by Atharwa Taide, who scored 15 runs.

Then came the 62-run partnership between Sanjay and Ganesh Satish to balance the ship for Vidarbha. However, Dharmendra Jadeja gave a breakthrough by sending Sanjay back to the hut. He was quickly followed by Mohit, who failed to tackle Krishnappa Gowtham.

However, the wicketkeeper-batsman, Akshay Wadkar scored 50 runs to his name and still going strong in the middle. He was accompanied by Akshay Karnewar, who scored 15 runs to stay in the middle at the end of Day 2.

For Rest of India, Krishnappa Gowtham, D Jadeja bagged a couple of wickets while Rajpoot and Rahul Chahar picked one wicket each. At the end of Day 2, Vidarbha scored 245/6 with Akshay W and Akshay K at the crease with 50 and 15 respectively.

Earlier, Mayank Agarwal carried his purple patch for the team in presence of classy Hanuma Vihari at the other end. They both added a stunning 125-run partnership for the second wicket before Mayank Agarwal walking back in the nervous nineties.

In the bowling department, Akshay Wakhare and Aditya Sarwate bagged three wickets each. Gurbani picked up a couple of wickets while Yash Thakur and Karnewar chipped in with one wicket each.
