India all-rounder, Hardik Pandya is back in the fold after having recovered from a serious injury earlier this year. Meanwhile, the cricketer made a comeback by showing his skill-set in the domestic circuit. Playing for Baroda in the Ranji Trophy, Pandya bagged five wickets and scored vital runs with the bat. Later, he instantly got picked for the ongoing Test series against Australia.

However, Virat Kohli’s men are presently levelled with the hosts at 1-1. Moreover, Pandya will give India a lot more options and depth in the line-up. The batters, barring a few, struggled against the red ball in trying conditions.

Also, the 25-year-old also got named in the India squad for the limited-overs series against Australia and New Zealand. The Baroda cricketer opted to play a Ranji Trophy game instead of representing India A in New Zealand.

Meanwhile, Pandya spoke to Times Now and had his words on the support received from the likes of MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli. The seam-bowling all-rounder made his limited-overs debut under the captaincy of Dhoni. While he made his Test debut under the leadership of Kohli, the flamboyant player has stamped his authority on different facets of the game.

He was asked to talk about the difference in the way each of the individuals leads the side. Pandya plays under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy in the IPL.

“MS was someone who didn’t talk much and let us do what we loved to do. He never changed my game. Dhoni was someone who was very important to me as I was raw, I was learning. That was the time where with my personality, I had to evolve. And he gave me the time to understand my role.” he said.

On Kohli’s captaincy, he said that his skipper backed him during the tough days and that is how he regained confidence and made a name for himself at the international circuit. On Rohit Sharma, Pandya said,

“Rohit is someone who is fantastic. He doesn’t make you feel that he is the captain. Rohit lets you do what you want to do. He is chilled out.”
