India batsman Sanju Samson has named the toughest bowler he has faced in his career so far. The right-handed batsman has not played too many games at the international level but has played almost all the leading bowlers of the world in the Indian Premier League.

Sanju Samson has not looked back since making his debut in the IPL in 2013. He has been one of the most impressive batsmen in the IPL in the last few years. As far as international cricket is concerned, he is yet to prove himself at the highest stage of the game.

The highly-rated batsman earned his maiden call-up in 2014 during the tough tour of England while he was just 19. He, however, could not make his debut. But in the following year, he made his debut during a T20I on the tour of Zimbabwe. However, he could not retain his spot in the team after that lone appearance and had to wait for four years for another call-up.

Sanju Samson was recalled into the T20I side for the three-match home series against Bangladesh last year. But the right-handed batsman did not play any game in the series. He was also a part of the T20I series against West Indies but once again warmed the bench. He finally played his second T20I in January this year against Sri Lanka and played two more games on the tour of New Zealand.

Coming to the toughest bowler he has faced so far, Sanju Samson named West Indies spinner Sunil Narine as his toughest opponent. Sanju Samson has not played Narine at international level but has played against him a lot in the IPL.

“Sunil Narine. Though I have played well against him in the IPL, he’s a superb bowler,” Sanju Samson told Manorama Online.
