Shane Warne Congratulates Yasir Shah Over Dubai Heroics

Pakistan spinner Yasir Shah’s match-turning figures of 14 for 184 rocked the New Zealand side in Dubai. The leggie ripped through the batting line-up, bagging eight wickets in the first innings. Meanwhile, Pakistan won the 2nd Test and went on to level the series with the final game to be played at Abu Dhabi. However, Shane Warne has heaped praise on the leg-spinner.

Yasir Shah makes a return in style

Earlier, Yasir was ordinary against Australia, as he managed to pick just eight wickets in two Tests. Now, post his Dubai heroics, the leggie got hailed by the cricket fans from all over the world. However, one particular wish which he loved to see was that from spin legend, Shane Warne. The former cricketer was impressed with the Pakistani bowler. He tweeted,

Warne impressed with Yasir’s magical spell

Meanwhile, it must have been a great moment for the spinner, as he looks up to Warne when it comes to the craft. Also, coach Mickey Arthur was mighty pleased as well to his ward to well. Arthur got quite animated of late, and he could breathe a sigh of relief seeing Yasir spin the hosts to victory.

“That first-innings – I think there was that spell for about half an hour that was some of the best leg spin bowling you’ll ever see – the drift, the pace, the spin, it was phenomenal. Fourteen wickets in a Test match is superb,” Arthur said.

However, Yasir will look to continue his good form going into the decider. On the other hand, New Zealand will have their task cut out after being floored by a single man inside three days.
