Twitter Reacts As India Go Down Fighting While Chasing 334 in Bengaluru

Australia beat India by 21 runs to register their first win in the five-match series. Winning the toss, Australian skipper Steve Smith opted to bat and his openers obliged by giving the visitors a dream start of 231 runs, as David Warner scored a memorable hundred in his 100th match.
The visitors though once again failed to capitalize on the start given by the top order and only managed to score 334 runs, after being 231-1 after 35 overs. Umesh Yadav was the pick of the bowlers for India who picked up four crucial wickets, while the unorthodox off-spin of Kedar Jadhav cleaned up David Warner.
Chasing a target of above 300 plus is never easy but Indian openers gave the start that was required, Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane played well and brought up a hundred-run opening stand. There was a misunderstanding between Kohli and Rohit, while this time Rohit was the one who lost his wicket and soon Virat too was cleaned up by Nathan Coulter-Nile.
Kedar Jadhav and Manish Pandey though had other plans and took Indian team close from a tricky situation. Both youngsters showed immense character and played the situation brilliantly. But both players lost their wickets in tandem and the old fox MS Dhoni did not manage to finish things off this time around.
Australia finally managed to sneak a win on this tour and now will go to Nagpur for the final ODI with some pride.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to the run-chase:
Two shots I will remember after this game is long gone. Rohit Sharma's front foot pull for 6 and that slash over point by Rahane.

How many missed Dhoni or Pandya the finisher today. If you did, think over if sending MS at 4 or Pandya at 4 is common sense. #IndvAus
