Watch: Hardik Pandya Imitates Jasprit Bumrah's Bowling Action

Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya took to Instagram to share a video of him imitating Jasprit Bumrah‘s action to near perfection.

The 28-year-old Hardik has played with Bumrah right from his Mumbai Indians (MI) days in the IPL. The two have also represented India since then and continue to be important cogs in the team.

In the practice nets, Hardik perfectly mimicked Bumrah’s action and even did the latter’s trademark celebration. He captioned the video: “How’s the form, Boom?” Bumrah responded with a bullseye emoji.

Speaking about Hardik, former Team India head coach Ravi Shastri said that Hardik’s services were sorely missed in the T20 World Cup that took place last year in the UAE.

“We missed him really badly last year in the (T20) World Cup when he couldn’t bowl. It makes a massive difference. There is no one close to him when it comes to the quality that he possesses at that number.”

“I think he is an extremely important player and has to be watched very closely. With the number of matches coming up, he is the last person you want to play in all those matches,” Shastri mentioned.

Hardik had picked up an injury and was also out of favor with the selectors due to poor form. Venkatesh Iyer replaced him in the squad for the time being but Hardik has won back his place in the team.
