Delhi Daredevils all-rounder, Vijay Shankar has credited his preparation to come up good in IPL 2018.

Vijay Shankar was able to provide the finishing touches to the Delhi side. The right-handed all-rounder grew in confidence after playing some handy knocks down the order for the franchise.

The Delhi all-rounder scored 212 in the 11 innings he played in the season. Consequently, Shankar justified his role of the finisher in the Delhi team.

In fact, he was able to get the better off Chennai Super Kings talismanic bowler, Dwayne Bravo.

However, Shankar didn’t have the ideal start to the eleventh season of the IPL. Thus, the all-rounder worked hard on his game to give solidarity to the Delhi franchise.

Shankar gave credit to RobotArm to help him prepare better for the challenges.

“The person releasing the ball at the batsman with this stick can generate speeds close to 145kmph. And you can ask him to land the ball in specific areas and try to execute your shots from there,” said Vijay Shankar while talking to The Hindu.

The India all-rounder had come under pressure when he was not able to get going in the final of the Nidahas trophy.

However, Dinesh Karthik’s knock had helped the team in rescuing them from troubled waters.

Shankar had also given credit to the Delhi Daredevils head coach Ricky Ponting.

Meanwhile, Vijay Shankar received a shot in the arm when he played a knock of 54 off 31 balls against CSK. The right-hander even got the better off Dwayne Bravo who is difficult to hit in the death overs.

“Bravo is a challenging bowler and the knock gave me a lot of satisfaction,” Vijay noted.

After having a successful season for the Delhi Daredevils, Vijay Shankar has grown in confidence. This season would have done a world of good for the 27-year old all-rounder.

Ergo, the Tamil Nadu cricketer has shown an upward swing in his improvement graph. Shankar will like to continue with his good form in the following season.
