Virat Kohli was not at his usual best at the IPL 2020. He started the season on a poor run but notched up some brilliant knocks later before his form again began to take a slump. Kohli finished the IPL 2020 with the second highest run scorer for RCB only behind opener Devdutt Padikkal.

Kohli notched up 466 runs in the IPL 2020. RCB head coach Simon Katich believes that is was at times that his team let him down. He also added that Kohli showed his class in the game against Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

We saw the class of Virat in the game against Chennai: Simon Katich

“We saw the class of Virat in the game against Chennai. But a number of times, the game situation did not help where he looked like he was well on top of the bowling but we would lose wickets at the crucial time and that would sort of slow his progress.

“You can judge him purely by the numbers. There were a number of games where he looked right at ease but unfortunately we got stalled at times.”

Kohli is a determined spirit who made his way to become one of the finest cricketers of all-time through sheer self belief and hard-work. He has made run-scoring look easy and has many records to be broken in line. Kohli was the only cricketers to make it to Forbes’ list of the top 100 highest-paid athletes in the world for the year 2020.

Kohli has often showed his love for the sport through his aggression and hardly gives an inch to his opponents on the field. But off it, Kohli is a completely different personality, he likes to spend time with his family, read books, train consistently and maintain his vegan diet, and to top it all he is not fond of fame or attention.
