Virat Kohli Praises Amitabh Bachchan On Receiving Dada Saheb Phalke Award

Team India under the tutelage of Virat Kohli have ended their calendar year on a good note with a limited-overs series win over West Indies of late. Their next assignment is against Sri Lanka where they will play three-match T20I series. The first match of the series will start on January 5, 2020, at Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati.

After the conclusion of this assignment, they host a three-match ODI series against Australia. The first ODI is scheduled to be played at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on January 14. Meanwhile, Indian captain Virat Kohli is currently relishing himself off the field with his wife Anushka Sharma.

Needless to say, he still continues to be updated from all the events in the world. He took to his official Twitter handle to appreciate superstar and veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan for being conferred with the prestigious Dada Saheb Phalke award.

Amitabh Bachchan received the award on Sunday (December 29) at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in the national capital by President of India Ram Nath Kovind for his exemplary contribution to Indian cinema for over the years. In the process, Big B became the 50th recipient of the iconic award.

While Netizens poured in with congratulatory messages after Amitabh Bachchan’s achievements, the 31-year-old Indian skipper also joined the bandwagon to laud Mr. Bachchan for his immense contribution to Indian cinema.

“Congratulations Amitabh Bachchan ji on being conferred the prestigious #DadaSahebPhalkeAward. Through your contribution to Indian cinema, you have been and still continue to be an inspiration to many. #GreatestofAllTime,” Virat Kohli’s caption read.

On the contrary, Virat Kohli ended this year with most runs in international cricket as he scored 2455 runs across all the formats. It is also worth mentioning here that for the 4th year in a row, Virat Kohli has ended with the most international runs scored in a calendar year, strengthening his own record going back to 2016.
