Sourav Ganguly might have made it clear that he did not criticise Virender Sehwag after his explosive interview on India TV but it seems the latter is in no mood to let go the whole issue.

It all began when Sehwag said he lost the race against Shastri because he did not have any ‘setting’ in the BCCI.

“See, I didn’t have any setting,” Sehwag had told India TV. “When I was in England during the Champions Trophy, I had asked Ravi Shastri that why he hasn’t applied for the post? Shastri then told me that he will not repeat the mistake which he had already made once.”

“I never thought of coaching the Indian cricket team. I was given the offer… BCCI secretary Amitabh Choudhury and MV Sridhar came to me and requested me to think on the offer. I took my time and then applied for the position,” he had added.

Media reports then suggested that Ganguly, who was a member of the Cricket Advisory Committee, had criticised Sehwag for the comment.

“I’ve got nothing to say. Sehwag spoke foolishly ,” Ganguly was quoted as saying by PTI.

Sehwag the retaliated by posting a cryptic message on Twitter.

“Har kisi ko safai mat do, aap insaan ho, washing powder nahin ! (No need to make yourself clear to everyone, you are a human being not a washing powder),” he had tweeted.

With the matter taking a ugly turn, Ganguly then took to Twitter to claim that the reports suggesting he criticised Sehwag were completely false.

“My quote on Sehwag completely false ..right quote ..Sehwag very dear to me .will speak to him soon..,” Ganguly had tweeted.

Well, it looks like Sehwag is not convinced by Ganguly’s tweet as he took to Instagram on Monday (September 18) to share the safe tweet with the caption:” #nosafai #freedom”
