Team India vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane has resumed training to prepare for the upcoming two-match Test series against Bangladesh starting from November 14. The host will be keen to strengthen their lead in the ICC World Test Championship.

Rahane had a good start to the Test Championship scoring crucial runs for his side. There were speculations over his place in the playing XI and he justified his selection with useful runs for his side. The Mumbai cricketer scored a valiant century in West Indies and backed it another against South Africa – his first at home in almost three years.

India recorded an 11th consecutive series win beating the Proteas – the most by a team overtaking Australia’s record of 10 consecutive victories. Meanwhile, Ajinkya Rahane took a good break after the South Africa series. He spent some quality time with his new-born baby and wife at his home. Rahane introduced his daughter with a picture posting a Twitter.

After spending some priceless moments with his family, Ajinkya Rahane has resumed training for the upcoming series against Bangladesh. The Tigers will tour India for the two-match series as a part of the ICC World Test Championship.

Indore will host the first Test of the series starting from November 14 while Kolkata will be the home for the second match. There are reports that the second Test between India and Bangladesh at the Eden Gardens might be a day-night Test following approval from Bangladesh Cricket Board.

“After spending some quality time with the family, it’s time to get back at the office#TrainingOn,” Ajinkya Rahane tweeted.
