On the field, Dale Steyn is the most fierce of rivals. Not only with the ball but the South Africa speedster makes life difficult for his opponents also with his aggressive attitude on the field. But off the ground, the Proteas pace spearhead is a different person and loves to stay connected with the fans and make friends with the opposition players.

A similar incident was witnessed before the second day of the ongoing first Test between India and South Africa in Cape Town. Leaving the on-field rivalry behind, Steyn was seen admiring rival Umesh Yadav’s tattoo.

Both the bowlers are known for their love to get inked and were seen having a long discussion before the start of the day’s play. Yadav reportedly has five tattoos on his left hand. His arm has a tattoo of Lord Shiva. Another one on him is that of Virgin Mary, and he also has a tattoo of ‘blessed child’ on one arm.

On the other hand, Steyn has the three Protea blossoms in the national colors of blue, red and yellow on his left bicep.

Meanwhile, Steyn made the much-anticipated return to Test cricket in the ongoing game. He had not played a Test since injuring his shoulder during the tour of Australia in November 2016. And he did not take long to make an impact, dismissing Shikhar Dhawan to help South Africa strengthen their grip on the game.

In reply to South Africa’s 286, India finished the day on 28 for 3.
