Watch: MS Dhoni's Young Fan Shell-Shocked As India Star Departs For A Duck Against Hong Kong

The stage was set for a MS Dhoni special in India’s Asia Cup-opener against Hong Kong. India were well placed when Dhoni came to the crease in the 41st over.

MS Dhoni came to the crease after the departure of Shikhar Dhawan who scored a brilliant century to lay the foundation for a good total. With nine full overs remaining, it was time for MS Dhoni to turn back the clocks and guide India to a perfect finish. As expected, all the fans attending the game were excited to see Dhoni as they gave him a rousing reception when he came out to bat. However, the fans’ delight soon turned into disappointment as Dhoni was out for a duck.

And the reaction of one of his young fans perfectly summed up how the spectators were feeling. The young fan was shouting in anger and waving his hands as Dhoni made his way out of the ground.

Meanwhile, India finished their innings on 285 for 7 despite looking set to cross the 300-run mark at one stage. A 116-run stand between Dhawan and Ambati Rayudu had laid the platform for a big total. However, India’s suffered a small collapse that hindered their progress.

The collapse began when Dhawan was dismissed for 127. And 8 runs within his departure, Dhoni and Dinesh Karthik also joined him in the dressing room as India found themselves reeling at 248 for 5 from 240 for 2. Kedar Jadhav then played an unbeaten knock of 28 to ensure the Men in Blue post a good total.
