On Saturday, she was seen dressed in Indian cricket team’s jersey as she began shooting. The actress was joined by Jhulan Goswami herself at the time of the shooting. Anushka Sharma looked stunning in the blue jersey as she sported a similar hairstyle as Jhulan during the shoot. The actress filmed a scene of entering the stadium with 10 players. The crew shot till 5 am in the morning but Anushka packed up at 4 am and left for Mumbai on Sunday.

Here are a couple of pictures of Anushka Sharma from the shoot:

Having retired from T20Is in 2018, Jhulan Goswami is one of the finest pacers to have played the women’s game.  In 2018, she became the first bowler to take 200 wickets in Women’s ODIs. The right-arm fast bowler from West Bengal, who was also awarded the ICC Women’s Player of Year award in 2007, later had a postage stamp issued in her honour.

So far, Jhulan, Goswami has taken 225 wickets in 182 matches after making her ODI debut in 2002. In the ten Tests she has played, she has bagged 40 wickets at an astonishing average of 16.62 with three five-wicket hauls.

Meanwhile, the upcoming film has further extended the trend of biopics in recent times. The last couple of years have seen films being made not only on cricketers but also on eminent personalities of other sports too. From Bhaag Milkha Bhaag to Mary Kom to Mohammed Azharuddin, MS Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar, the fans have witnessed some really top-notch biopics in recent times.
