Watch: Sachin Tendulkar Impressed By Junior Kaif's Batting

Former India batsman Mohammad Kaif’s son is yet to get a taste of high-level cricket but he seems to be on the right path as the budding cricketer received some praise from none other than the legendary Sachin Tendulkar.

In fact, the Master Blaster was so impressed with Junior Kaif’s batting that he posted a video of of the boy facing the bowling machine at one of the centres of popular gaming destination ‘Smaaash’. In the video, one can see the ball coming out of the screen which showed an old clip of Tendulkar bowling.

Kaif, meanwhile, soon retweeted the tweet and wrote : “I always found it difficult to pick you in the nets @sachin_rt Paaji,whether it would be leg-spin,off-spin,cutter, wrong-un. My son Kabir seems to have handled your bowling much better 🙂 And as you say ,India will transform when we keep playing a sport at least.With you,always!”

Best remembered for his heroics in the 2002 Natwest Trophy final in England, Kaif represented India in 13 Tests and 125 One-Day Internationals, scoring over 3,000 runs with the help of three centuries and 20 half-centuries. The 37-year hasn’t formally announced his international retirement but he last appeared for India way back in November 2006 in an ODI against South Africa at Port Elizabeth. He had also led India under-19 to their maiden World Cup title in 2000.
