IND vs ENG: "I Will Keep England 60-65 Percent Above India" - Shahid Afridi

Indian Cricket Team is all set to lock horns against England on 10th November (Thursday) in the 2nd Semi-Final of ICC T20 World Cup 2022. The Men in Blue are quite favorites for the contest as they are firing all the cylinders and are looking like a formidable unit. The team got a wake-up call against South Africa but since then the team has done a good job.
England on the other side would be well aware of the fact that they have a huge task on their hands. England’s middle order has been quite fragile and the batters haven’t been able to perform according to their credentials. Alex Hales holds the key for England as he has been playing Big Bash League in Australia for quite some time.
Shahid Afridi on India
Shahid Afridi was seen interacting with SAMAA Tv and was asked about both teams. “Both the teams are equally balanced and performed well at the tournament. Even their past performances have been good. But in my opinion, I’ll keep England 60-65 percent above India.” said Shahid Afridi.
“I feel their combination is extremely good if we pick batting or bowling, even the spinners. However, it’s a big match and the team which will make less mistakes, and the team where are all the 11 players will put 100 percent effort will win,” he added.
Great Chance for England
England hasn’t won ICC T20 World Cup since 2010 and this time it looks like that they will end the drought of 12 years. The specialty of the England Cricket Team is that they have got a lot of power hitters present in the team. The senior batter Moeen Ali’s role would be pivotal as he would guide the batters against the spinners.
The team would be banking on Liam Livingstone to play a fascinating knock as the batter is known for clean striking. It would be interesting to see at what position Phil Salt bats as he is not used to batting in the middle order. The management is using Ben Stokes quite smartly as they are giving him the new ball where he has looked threatening.
