IND vs PAK: "They Will Have To Agree With What The BCCI Says"- Danish Kaneria Feels PCB Cannot Take Any Objection As BCCI Is Too Powerful

Danish Kaneria, a former cricketer, thinks that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has little power to influence the BCCI’s decision not to travel to Pakistan for the Asia Cup 2023.
The Indian squad won’t go to Pakistan for the continental competition, according to Jay Shah, the BCCI secretary and head of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), who spoke to Cricbuzz on Tuesday, October 18. He also stated that if the event was moved to a neutral location, the Men in Blue may take part.
PCB Too Weak In-front Of BCCI: Danish Kaneria
Kaneria responded to Shah’s remarks by pointing out that the BCCI is the most powerful body in the world and that all other teams must comply with their demands. He said that because the Pakistani board is far weaker than the Indian top body, it cannot afford to respond in like.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Kaneria said:
“The BCCI could very well do that. The PCB cannot take any objection as BCCI is the richest board in the world and all other boards have to agree with them. England, Australia, South Africa and New Zealand, all these boards are with the BCCI as they know there’s nothing without the BCCI.”
“The Indian board is very, very powerful, whereas the Pakistani board is quite weak. They will have to agree with what the BCCI says, and there’s no need to feel bad, because it’s due to the political scenario between the two countries.”
Notably, the last time the Indian squad visited Pakistan was for the Asia Cup in 2008. Since Pakistan’s tour to India in 2012–2013, there hasn’t been a bilateral series between the two Asian countries.
The Asia Cup will be held in Pakistan in 2023. Given the political difficulties between the two countries, it was anticipated that India may not consent to travel to its neighbouring country for the occasion.
Officials From Both Ends Should Meet And Solve This Issue: Danish Kaneria
Kaneria continued by stating that it is imperative for both India and Pakistan to reconcile their issues because these encounters frequently gather the largest crowds at big competitions.
He recommended that the International Cricket Council (ICC), which has its headquarters in Dubai, host a meeting between the BCCI and PCB. The 41-year-old said that ambassadors from both nations should attend the conference as well in order to find a workable solution.
Kaneria added:
“Officials from the BCCI and the PCB should arrange a meeting at a natural venue. They can do that in Dubai in the presence of people from the ICC. Both the boards should build their respective core teams consisting of diplomats.”
The T20 World Cup 2022 will begin with an opening match between India and Pakistan. On Sunday, October 23, the much-anticipated match will take place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
