India and England are facing each other in the third Test at the Niranjan Shah Cricket Stadium in Rajkot. Joe Root who is not having a series to remember in India again threw his wicket against India in the first innings while trying to reverse sweep Jasprit Bumrah.

The ball took the leading edge and found Yashasvi Jaiswal who made no mistake in completing the catch of the English batter. He got out after scoring 18 off 31 balls.

Joe Root is not having a great Test series as he has failed to score a single fifty-plus score in this series against India and has fallen to Jasprit Bumrah most of the time.

He has now gone out against Jasprit Bumrah nine times in his Test career. Joe Root was the top scorer for England when they toured India in 2021 and now he has been struggling with the bat and giving his wicket cheaply.

The fans were disappointed after Joe Root threw his wicket in the first innings of the third Test. England have lost four wickets as after Root, Jonny Bairstow went back to the pavilion for a duck as Kuldeep Yadav trapped him LBW. India posted 445 in the first innings laying back on centuries by Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja and some beautiful batting by Dhruv Jurel and Ravichandran Ashwin in the end.

Ben Duckett has smashed a sensational ton and is still going strong in the first innings nearing 150. However, fans are not happy with Root throwing his wicket against Jasprit Bumrah once again.

He has been dismissed three out of five times by Bumrah in this series and he needs to be back in his previous form without thinking about the Bazball approach that has been taken by most of the English batters since Brendon McCullum became their coach.

The fans have started their criticism of Root after his terrible performance against India and are criticizing him for throwing his wicket. Joe Root has scored only 70 runs in five innings in this series and has not been a threat to the Indian side in this series.
