Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal hit a century in India vs England 3rd Test in Rajkot. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma gave a standing ovation to Yashasvi Jaiswal when he reached his century with a boundary in the 2nd innings.

Notably, Rohit Sharma also hit a century in the 1st innings. However, he lost his wicket for 19 runs in the 2nd innings. This time, Jaiswal utilized the opportunity and slammed a ton. During his knock, the left-handed batter shattered 5 sixes and 9 fours. Jaiswal also slammed a century in the previous Test.

Jaiswal slammed a double century in IND vs ENG 2nd Test in Vizag to script history. He slammed 209 runs to play a crucial role in India’s victory in the match. Now, he followed up his double ton with another century in the IND vs ENG 3rd Test. He got out cheaply for 10 runs in the 1st innings.

Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a boundary off Mark Wood to reach his century. As the Indian opener reached his ton, his opening partner Rohit Sharma erupted in joy. Sharma gave a standing ovation and clapped for the Jaiswal as he celebrated his century at Saurashtra International Cricket Stadium. Have a look at the video below.

Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal have supported each other well at the top in India vs England 3rd Test. When Jaiswal got out cheaply in 1st innings, Sharma slammed a century to give a good start to Team India. Similarly, when Sharma got out cheaply in the 2nd innings, Jaiswal slammed a century.

Yashasvi Jaiswal retires after reaching century

Jaiswal retired hurt at 104 runs in the 2nd innings. With more than 400+ runs in IND vs ENG Test series, Jaiswal is the leading run-scorer in the series. With 240 runs in 6 innings, Rohit Sharma takes the second spot.

Meanwhile, India has gained a 300-plus lead in the 2nd innings of India vs England 3rd Test in Rajkot. Other than Jaiswal, Shubman Gill also slammed a half-century in the 2nd innings. Both of them added 154 runs for the 2nd wicket before Jaiswal retired hurt.

India gained 126-run lead after 1st innings

Earlier, India piled up 445-0 in 1st innings, thanks to centuries by Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja. India bowled out England for 319 in 1st innings with a 4-wicket haul by Mohammed Siraj. England trailed by 126 runs after 1st innings. For England, Ben Duckett scored a stunning century.

India vs England Test series is tied 1-1 after two games. The winners of the 3rd Test will gain an advantage as they will need to win of the next two games to win the series. India vs England Test series will observe five games.
