IRE VS IND: VVS Laxman Could Join Team As Director On Tour: Sources

After their home assignment with South Africa, Team India will go to Ireland for a minor series, but the situation is a little different in front of the board because two teams will have to travel simultaneously.

Team India is set to play a Test match with England, which is the final Test of last year’s series, and a white ball series with Ireland at the same time, so the board might send a team of youngsters to Ireland and VVS Laxman could be the team’s director.

There Is a Possibility That Two Teams Will Play At The Same Time

India’s tour of Ireland will begin on June 26, with the fifth and final Test against England scheduled for July 1 at Edgbaston in Birmingham. VVS Laxman is the Director of Cricket at Bengaluru’s National Cricket Academy (NCA).

India’s Head Coach Rahul Dravid will be with the Test squad in England and BCCI also does not want to make any changes to the announced Test squad, the team for Ireland also could be announced after the home series with the Proteas.

The selectors on Sunday announced the squad for the 5 matches T20I series against South Africa. the series would mark the comeback of Dinesh Karthik and Hardik Pandya to the national side. KL Rahul will lead the team.
