Brad Hogg, a former Australian spinner, feels Rohit Sharma would be truly tested as skipper of a weaker Mumbai Indians (MI) team in the IPL 2022 season.

So over the previous cycle, MI constructed one of the strongest T20 teams ever, but the side now has a new look because of the mega auction dynamics.

Despite the fact that the Indian core is pretty much intact, with players like Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Ishan Kishan, and Suryakumar Yadav, Brad Hogg believes the 34-year-old would miss the Pandya brothers’ presence, which bolstered the MI middle-order.

Brad Hogg also gave some light on Michigan’s bowling lineup, which on paper appears to be deficient. He expressed himself as follows:

“With the Mumbai Indians (as a captain), Rohit Sharma will be put to the test this year since he doesn’t have the same powerful middle-order as in past years, and the bowling stocks are a little depleted because we’ve reduced the number of teams to ten. The Mumbai Indians have been a dominant force, but their stocks are now being tested.”

“We don’t leave any stone unturned,” MI captain Rohit Sharma:

Rohit Sharma, the captain of the Mumbai Indians (MI), has stated that his team will leave no stone unturned in their preparations for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022.

They are the most successful franchise in the cash-rich league’s history, having won the title a record five times under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy. Mumbai had to let go of key players like Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya, Quinton de Kock, and Trent Boult before of this season.

The club management, on the other hand, was able to secure the services of some interesting players during the mega-auction, resulting in a well-balanced group for the IPL 2022 season.

The Mumbai Indians will kick off their IPL 2022 campaign on March 27 at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai against the Delhi Capitals.
