Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will aim for their first win when they face a confident Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in match 12 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at the Dr. DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai on Monday (April 4). SRH-led by Kane Williamson suffered a 61-run defeat to Rajasthan Royals in their campaign opener, while KL Rahul’s IPL 2022 new entrants LSG bounced back from the loss to fellow newcomers Gujarat Titans with a stunning win over defending champions Chennai Super Kings.

CSK vs PBKS Dream11 Prediction

SunRisers Hyderabad‘s bowlers and the top-order batters struggled as they fell short in their run chase against RR. The Lucknow Super Giants, meanwhile, pulled off a big run chase after failing to defend a total in their first match of the season. This will be the first match at the Dr. DY Patil Stadium for both teams. LSG has played their two matches so far at the Wankhede and Brabourne in Mumbai. SRH has played their only match of this season so far at the MCA Stadium in Pune.

SunRisers Hyderabad- Team News- Sean Abbott And Glenn Phillips Unavailable

SRH is one of the luckiest teams when it comes to player availability as all of their first choice players are available from the word-go. As a matter of fact, SRH played their full strength side in the game against Rajasthan Royals.

Though they don’t have Aussie pacer Sean Abbott with them in the squad who is currently playing in Pakistan for the white ball series and Glenn Phillips who has just joined the team, they both are nowhere near their first choice playing 11 and it shouldn’t be a concern for them.

Lucknow Super Giants has 2 points from 2 matches while lost their only match so far. Both teams gave exactly 210 runs in their 20 overs in their last game. SunRisers Hyderabad is the only team to lose batting second so far in IPL 2022.

SunRisers Hyderabad’s top-4 batters were dismissed for single-digit scores as they were reeling at 37/5 in the halfway stage in a stiff 211 run chase against Rajasthan Royals. Aiden Markram (57* runs), Wahington Sundar (40 runs), and Romario Shepherd (24 runs) brought some respectability to their total and took them to 149/8 in 20 overs. Experienced players such as skipper Kane Williamson, Nicholas Pooran, and Rahul Tripathi need to step up with the bat.

Bhuvaneshwar Kumar bowled superbly with figures of 4-0-29-1 and was unlucky to miss out on picking wickets due to no-balls. Romario Shepherd, Umran Malik, and T Natarajan claimed 5 wickets between them but were a bit expensive. The spin department relies heavily on Washington Sundar with Abdul Samad, Aiden Markram, and Abhishek Sharma for company.

SunRisers Hyderabad’s Predicted XI:- Abhishek Sharma, Rahul Tripathi, Kane Williamson (c), Nicholas Pooran (wk), Aiden Markram, Abdul Samad, Washington Sundar, Romario Shepherd, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, T Natarajan, Umran Malik

Lucknow Super Giants- Team News- Jason Holder May Debut

Lucknow Super Giants openers KL Rahul (40 runs) and Quinton De Kock (61 runs) kicked off the chase against Chennai Super Kings positively with their 99-run opening partnership. Evin Lewis then unleashed himself with an unbeaten 23-ball 55 runs to take their team across the line. Ayush Badoni and Deepak Hooda played a couple of impressive shots to continue their form from the first match.

Pacers Avesh Khan and Andrew Tye picked up 2 wickets each but were unable to restrict the scoring rate effectively. Dushmantha Chameera had a bad day on the field and with the ball. Ravi Bishnoi impressed with his superb bowling figures of 4-0-24-1 with Krunal Pandya and Deepak Hooda supporting in the middle overs in the spin department.

Lucknow Super Giants will be boosted by the presence of a couple of Caribbean players namely Jason Holder and Kyle Mayers for their game against SunRisers Hyderabad.  Marcus Stoinis is still unavailable, as he is with the Australian team in Pakistan playing the white ball series against Pakistan. He will be a huge miss for LSG because the firepower he brings to their middle order will be immense.

One of the positives in SRH’s terrible campaign in IPL 2021 was Jason Holder. Although the Caribbean all-rounder didn’t feature in all matches, he proved his mettle with both bat and the ball. Jason Holder picked 16 scalps in IPL 2021 averaging 15.44.

Lucknow Super Giants Predicted XI:-KL Rahul (c), Quinton de Kock (wk), Evin Lewis, Manish Pandey, Deepak Hooda, Ayush Badoni, Krunal Pandya, Jason Holder, Andrew Tye, Ravi Bishnoi, Avesh Khan
