Former England pacer Stuart Broad admires the legendary wicketkeeper batter MS Dhoni’s capacity to influence games, even without batting. Stuart Broad highlighted MS Dhoni’s effortless ability to outperform cricketers much younger than him on the field.

Chennai Super Kings legend MS Dhoni has not had the chance to bat in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. While this signifies the Chennai-based franchise’s dominance in the tournament, fans are eager to witness his trademark batting brilliance.

Although he hasn’t batted yet, Dhoni demonstrated his agility by executing a remarkable diving catch at the age of 42. The catch occurred during the match between the Super Kings and Gujarat Titans, with Dhoni stretching 2.27 meters to complete the grab.

MS Dhoni Is Still Pretty Good – Stuart Broad

During the Star Sports Cricket Live show, Stuart Broad highlighted Dhoni‘s enduring impact on the game, emphasizing the enthusiastic reaction from both his teammates and the Chennai crowd.

“He’s still pretty good, isn’t he? He’s a legend of the game. I feel for MS, he doesn’t have to bat in a game and still manages to have a moment that moves or changes the game in less than a second. His teammates swarmed in, delighted for him and the crowd in Chennai loved it so it was a great moment in the night,” Broad said.

IPL 2024 may mark Dhoni’s farewell season, having relinquished the captaincy to Ruturaj Gaikwad, who led CSK to victories in their first two matches. Despite Dhoni’s absence from pre and post-match interviews, his mere presence continues to draw crowds.

Chennai Super Kings At Top Spot in IPL 2024 Points Table

Ruturaj Gaikwad led the five-time champions to victory in his maiden IPL outing as the skipper of the Chennai Super Kings against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). The Chennai-based team recorded a comfortable six-wicket victory at their home ground.

The CSK team secured their second consecutive win of the ongoing season by defeating Shubman Gill’s Gujarat Titans (GT) by a margin of 63 runs in Chennai. This victory propelled the defending champions to the top of the table in the prestigious tournament.

Rachin Ravindra has been in the form of his life. The left-handed batter seized the opportunity to play in the absence of the injured Devon Conway. His fearless approach has resulted in him scoring 83 runs in two matches at an outstanding strike rate of 237.14.

MS Dhoni will next be in action when the team led by Ruturaj Gaikwad takes on the Delhi Capitals (DC) in their upcoming match at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on Sunday, March 31.
