Just days after the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) allowed their left-arm seamer Mustafizur Rahman to stay one more day in India to feature for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2024, an official of the board bashed the league.

The official is none other than BCB Cricket Operations chairman Jalal Yunus, who didn't hold back his feelings and went all at the Indian Premier League as well as the CSK. It was the reigning champions along with BCCI, who requested BCB to let Rahman stay here for another day.

Mustafizur Rahman was initially slated to return to his homeland on May 1st to take part in Bangladesh's 5-match T20I series against Zimbabwe at home from 3rd May onwards.

The Bangla Tigers will be playing T20Is on the 3rd, 5th, 7th, 10th, and 12th of May, all at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury stadium in Chittagong. Following that series, Bangladesh will fly over to the co-hosting nation of the T20 World Cup 2024 to play a 3-match series against the USA.

These two series are going to be important for the team for their T20 WC hopes and if they are aiming to reach the semi-finals of the tournament for the first time. And that makes Mustafizur Rahman very important and as he is showcasing in IPL, the left-arm seamer, with his variations, is a huge asset for the team he represents.

With that being said, Bangladesh would love to have "Fizz" back to them before he sustains an injury in the demanding league.

Jalal Yunus says CSK and BCCI do not care about Mustafizur Rahman

While speaking to media reporters recently on this very subject, Jalal Yunus claimed that neither BCCI nor the CSK are worried about Mustafizur Rahman's fitness and that his fitness is BCB's headache.

Yunus also bashed CSK for demanding 100% from Rahman every time he plays and that might put some pressure on his shoulders and make it much more easier for him to sustain an injury.

Jalal Yunus also revealed that Mustafizur Rahman is not just being brought back for the Zimbabwe series but also to make sure his workload is being managed well.

"Our concern is Mustafizur's fitness. They want to take 100 percent from him. They don't have a headache about his fitness, but we do."

"The reason we are bringing back Mustafizur is not just to play in the Zimbabwe series, but if he is brought here, we will plan him with the workload. But that plan won't happen if he's in IPL." - Yunus told press reporters.

Yunus says Fizz doesn't have anything to learn from IPL

Jalal Yunus then went on to claim that Mustafizur Rahman doesn't have anything to learn from the IPL as his learning process is over and that the league should learn from him. Now that's one way of expressing disappointment for the fact that their country doesn't have a lucrative system as the IPL.

"Mustafizur has nothing to learn from playing in the IPL. Mustafizur's learning process is over. Rather, there are many players in IPL who can learn from him. Bangladesh will not benefit from this." - Yunus concluded.

Was it jealousy or insecurity from Jalal Yunus? Or was it just for the sake of the Bangladeshi team?
