Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad made MS Dhoni go gaga with his batting at the Wankhede Stadium in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 game against Mumbai Indians. The high-intensity clash between the teams is keeping everyone excited. 

Chennai Super Kings skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad, who came to bat at No.3, made sure that he oozes his class with the bat in the ongoing Indian Premier League game against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. He played some gorgeous shots in his innings and made the crowd applaud him. 

However, one shot caught the attention of many including MS Dhoni, who was in the dressing room. It was during the 5th ball of the 15th over during the Akash Madhwal's over. The right-arm pacer bowled a full toss ball outside off, to which the batter's response was sensational. 

Ruturaj Gaikwad came down the track and sliced it over Ramario Shepherd, who was at the deep point. The ball went flat and cleared the boundary ropes with ease. MS Dhoni, who was in the dressing room, was left impressed with the shot and his reaction went viral on the internet.

Ruturaj Gaikwad played a great innings for Chennai Super Kings at the Wankhede Stadium. The skipper made sure that he took his team to the big total. The right-hander ended with an innings of 69 runs off 40 balls. He batted with a strike rate of over 172 and also slammed 5 fours and 5 sixes. 

Apart from him, Shivam Dube played a magnificent innings as well. The left-hander played a staggering innings of 66 runs off 38 balls. He batted with a strike rate of over 173 and slammed 10 fours and 2 sixes in his innings at the Wankhede Stadium. 

Chennai Super Kings got a perfect finish to their as it was MS Dhoni, who produced a sensational effort with the bat. The keeper-batter hit three sixes on three consecutive balls and ended with innings of unbeaten 20 runs off 4 balls. His valiant effort powered his team to a total of 206 runs on the board. 

The pitch gets better as the night gets on because of dew - Gerald Coetzee hopeful of Mumbai Indians chasing the target 

Gerald Coetzee, who returned with the figures of 1/36, believes that Chennai Super Kings got a par total as according to him pitch gets better to bat in the second innings. He also talked about learning from Jasprit Bumrah and while talking to broadcasters, he explained: 

"Around about par (total). The pitch gets better as the night gets on because of the dew. That's what happened in the last game. Very beneficial (to be alongside Bumrah). He (Bumrah) is probably the best in the world in this format, so learn from him. I'm loving it (the IPL). Great conditions here for cricket and you need to be at your best." 

With the kind of batting display, Mumbai Indians showed in the last game, it is expected that they would come out all guns blazing and would be keen to chase the target.
