Bangladesh and Pakistan are currently taking on each other in a three-match T20 series. The second T20 international is slated to be played on 20th November 2021 at Shere Bangla National Stadium.
Pakistan have come into the series with full of confidence. Babar Azam and Co. showcased exceptional performances in the T20 World Cup 2021 and they would be looking to play with the same intensity against Bangladesh.
Pakistan registered five consecutive matches in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 to finish the number one position in Group 2 at the end of the Super 12 stage. The experts labeled Pakistan as the favorites to win the tournament after their stupendous performance in the Super 12 stage.
However, a high-flying Babar Azam and Co. were brought back to the ground by Australia in the semi-final match. Aaron Finch and Men beat Pakistan by 5 wickets to knock them out of the tournament. Nevertheless, all of that is now a thing of the past and Pakistan would look to focus ahead.
They have named the squad for the T20Is much similar to the one picked in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. They have made one change, i.e., Iftikhar Ahmed replacing Mohammad Hafeez. Babar Azam will continue to lead the team, while M Rizwan will be his deputy.
Facing them are Bangladesh, who endured a horrendous outing in the T20 World Cup 2021. It was a tournament to forget for them. They couldn’t win a single game in the Super 12 stage and finished at the bottom of the table. Their performances showed how dependent they are on Shakib Al Hasan. Barring him, none of the players looked to make an impact in the tournament.
