Watch: David Warner Takes A Brilliant Catch To Get Rid Of Fabian Allen

SunRisers Hyderabad have continued to chip away at the wickets at regular intervals and that hasn’t let Punjab Kings settle in their innings. On a track where pace off the ball has proved to be the most potent option, SunRisers Hyderabad has accounted for yet another Punjab Kings batsman, this time in the form of Fabian Allen [6 off 11 balls].

It all happened on the fourth ball of the 17th over when Fabian Allen failed to connect another change of pace hard-length delivery by left-arm seamer Khaleel Ahmed.

Ahmed dished the ball short but proceeded to take the pace off it and Allen, in an attempt to flat-bat the left-arm seamer, managed to only get a bottom edge leading to the ball spooning to extra-cover. Skipper David Warner did the rest as he ran to his right and gobbled a diving catch.

Allen’s wicket brought an end to a 19-run partnership between the West Indian all-rounder and hard-hitting Indian rookie batsman in Shahrukh Khan.

Losing wickets at regular wickets have been the themes of the day in Chennai as Punjab Kings have struggled on yet another sluggish pitch. Rashid Khan, who claimed a brilliant catch to dismiss Mayank Agarwal besides registering another brilliant spell of 3/17 in four overs, and Khaleel Ahmed, who at the time of writing had accounted for Shahrukh Khan to claim his 3rd wicket, have been the wrecker in chief.

At the time of writing, Punjab Kings were reeling at 8/114 after 19 overs.
