Zulqarnain Haider Reports of Being approached by Bookies in Dubai During T10 League

The T10 league began on Thursday in the UAE and had attracted quite a few viewers worldwide, and experts say that the format is here to stay. However, just like every other format, the T10 league is also under the threat of match-fixing. Pakistani wicket-keeper Zulqarnain Haider who took retirement from international career just after playing four One day internationals has reported that bookies and match-fixers have approached him.

Haider who rose to fame when he left the Pakistani team during their tour of South Africa in 2010 because of death threats to him and his family by bookies has reported that he has been approached by bookies in Dubai again and he has posted pictures of the suspects on social media platform Facebook. He posted pictures of the bookies with some of the very famous Pakistani cricketers and wrote:

 “Informing Pcb and Icc …. Zulqarnain haider gets Fixing offer and threat’s in dubai again …. Here the bookies and linked peoples pics…. Request to army chief for Sequrity …. For more details 00923004095550 or 00923354085550…”

Pakistan cricket has been a victim of match-fixing previously with some of their prime players like Mohammed Amir, Salman Butt and Mohammed Asif having being banned for five years in 2010 for being involved in spot-fixing.

The PCB and ICC will look into the case and will be investigating the case as soon as possible.
