Anil Kumble Urges Andhra CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy To Develop Sports Facilities In The State

Legendary Indian leg-spinner and former head coach, Anil Kumble, has urged Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to develop sports facilities in the state.

Kumble, who remains the leading wicket-taker for Team India in international cricket, met the Honourable Andhra Pradesh CM at the latters’ camp office in Vijayawada on Monday.

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and Anil Kumble held discussions on the development of sports in Andhra Pradesh.

The legendary leg-spinner, who retired from international cricket in 2008, urged the CM to develop sports material manufacturing factory in the state.

“All types of sports materials are being manufactured in cities like Meerut and Jalandhar and it would be of great help if the factory is set up in the state,” Anil Kumble said as quoted by the Indian Express.

Anil Kumble further informed the CM that he will extend support if a Sports University is set up in Andhra Pradesh.

A top official source told PTI that the Andhra CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has responded positively to Anil Kumble’s proposals and that the government will soon identify the land required to set up the sports university and the sports material Special Economic Zone [SEZ] in the state,

“The government will soon identify required land for the sports university and the sports goods Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in the state. Other logistics will also be worked out,” the source said.
