DC vs RR: Watch - Jake Fraser-McGurk collapses in extreme pain after being hit on the box by Trent Boult

Jake Fraser-McGurk, on Tuesday (May 7), literally started his innings on a painful note as he was hit on the box in the very first over of the ongoing game between Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson won the toss and opted to bowl first. Abishek Porel and Jake Fraser-McGurk came out to open the innings for Delhi Capitals. The Australian youngster faced the first ball of the game with Trent Boult opening the bowling for the Royals.

On the first ball, he took a double before beaten on the second ball. The third ball hit Jake Fraser-McGurk on the pad as Boult troubled him with his line and length. And on the fourth ball, the New Zealand veteran hit the right-handed batsman right on the box, leaving him in great pain. 

The physio came running in as Jake Fraser-McGurk fell on the ground and looked in pain after the blow. Fortunately, he managed to get back on his feet quickly and continued batting. He responded to the painful blow in style by hitting the very next delivery from Boult for a four.

Talking about the game, DC were on 31 for no loss at the end of the third over. Jake Fraser-McGurk took Boult to the cleaners in the third over, hitting the left-arm pacer for two fours and a six.

Delhi Capitals eye crucial win:

Delhi Capitals will be desperate for a win tonight to stay in contention for the playoffs. With five defeats and six losses so far, they are currently at the sixth spot in the points table and cannot afford further slip-ups. With the race for the playoffs heating up, DC will be looking to win their remaining three league games in order to bolster their playoffs chances.
