Gujarat Titans will be locking horns against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the 45th game of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2024 (IPL 2024). The GT vs RCB match is scheduled to be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad today.

This will be the first meeting between the two teams this season. Both teams are coming into this game on the back of contrasting results in their last outing. While GT suffered a 4-run loss against Delhi Capitals while chasing 225, RCB ended their six-match losing streak with an impressive 35-run win over high-flying Sunrisers Hyderabad.

With four wins and five defeats so far, GT are currently languishing at the seventh spot in the IPL 2024 points table and will be desperate for a win today to reignite their playoffs hopes. The Shubman Gill-led side has lost its last two home games and will be looking to end that streak as well.

RCB, on the other hand, have nothing to lose at this stage. With just two wins from nine games, they are languishing at the bottom of the table and their playoffs chances are extremely low. Although they are still not out of the playoffs race, their chances of progressing ahead are very low. RCB will be looking to make the most of their fine win in the last game and register another victory to keep their slim chances alive.

GT vs RCB: Impact players

RCB have won the toss and opted to bowl first. Speaking at toss, RCB captain Faf du Plessis said: "The wicket will be better later, so we will chase. The nature of this game has changed, our bowlers have been exceptional in the last two games. We have scored big with the bat, those are the changes. Maxwell comes back in, we have some firepower in the middle-order."

GT skipper Shubman Gill said: "Would have chased as well, looks a really good wicket. Need to put a good total on the board. We have batted decently, we lost by a difference of just one ball in the last game. This is the right time to peak for us."
