Indian skipper Virat Kohli was awarded the ICC Men’s ODI Cricketer Of The Decade in the ICC Awards Of The Decade. The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the awards of the decade on Monday. The Indian skipper was nominated alongside Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni in this category.
Virat Kohli has been the best ODI player in the last 10 years in international cricket. He began his career with team India after his heroics in the Under 19 World Cup after 2008. He won the 2011 World Cup with team India. He also won the ICC Champions Trophy in 2013 with the Indian Cricket Team.

In a video released by the BCCI, Virat said, “My only intention was to make winning contributions for the team and I just strive to do that in every game. Stats just become the byproduct of what you want to do on the field.”

Virat Has Massive Numbers Behind Him
Virat has been exceptional with the bat in the last 10-12 years. He has played 87 Test matches so far and scored 7318 runs at an average of 53.42. He has smashed 27 centuries 7 double centuries and 23 fifties in the format.
He has also played a total of 251 ODIs and scored 12040 runs at an average 59.31. In this format, he has been the maverick as he has gone on to smash 43 centuries and 60 half-centuries. Virat Kohli has also played 84 T20Is and scored 2928 runs at an average of 50.48. In this format, he has gone on to score 25 half-centuries.
