India and England take on each other in a full-fledged England tour starting with the one-off Test match in Edgbaston from July 1. Both teams will play a three-match T20I and an ODI series. The series will end with the final ODI on July 17.

Ravindra Jadeja ranks fifth in this elite list of current Indian batsmen with the most ODI runs against England. His best is 87 and he has scored three fifties against England. Jadeja is a part of the Test squad that’s been announced and is expected to play the ODIs and T20Is as well.

4) Ajinkya Rahane – 690 Runs in 20 Matches

Ajinkya Rahane is not a part of the current India white-ball squads. He is also not a part of the Test team due to injury. He has become a Test match special in recent times. The Indian batter has scored close to 700 runs in 20 matches against England including 1 century and three fifties.

3) Shikhar Dhawan – 526 Runs In 15 Matches

This in this list is another discarded Indian batsman. Shikhar Dhawan is supposedly not in the scheme of things for the T20 World Cup. He is not a member of the Test squad that’s travelled to England and might not play the limited-overs games as well. He has scored 536 runs in 15 matches against England.

2) Rohit Sharma – 544 Runs In 16 Matches

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma is second in this list. He has played 16 games against England and scored close to 550 runs including two centuries. Rohit perhaps has not played as many games against England s against the other countries which is why his stats against the team, is pretty mediocre.

1) Virat Kohli – 1307 Runs In 33 Matches

With three centuries and nine fifties, Virat Kohli tops the list of most runs in ODIs against England. He is not in the best of form in recent times but is still very much in India’s scheme of things across formats. He also has three ducks against England.
