The RCB vs PBKS IPL 2024 match will be played in Bengaluru on March 25, Monday. The match starts at 7.30 pm IST and this is the first home game for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. This is the first of the three home games for the Banglore franchise.

They are heading into this game on the back of a loss against Chennai Super Kings in their IPL 2024 season opener. The Super Kings chased down 173 posted by RCB in their season opener. It was the same old story for the Banglore franchise who were heavily dependent on their top-order to score runs.

The score was good enough at the midway stage but Chennai Super Kings were professional throughout their run chase. Punjab Kings, on the other hand, made a winning start against Delhi Capitals. They defeated the Capitals by four wickets chasing down 175 to win.

PBKS have been the perennial underaachievers in the IPL. However, they have lacked consistency over the years and that is something that they would like to get this season. The likes of Arshdeep Singh, Harshal Patel, Harpreet Brar, Rahul Chahar, and Kagiso Rabada proved a good bowling core in the previous game and need to be consistent as well.

Shikhar Dhawan has been leading the Punjab Kings since IPL the last two seasons and has been the chief run-getter. He has almost scored 1000 runs for the franchise but needs a senior partner to help him with run-scoring.

The head-to-head contest is pretty even between the two teams. In 31 matches overall, Bangalore has won 14 matches while Punjab 17. The two teams played just one game last year with RCB winning the match by 24 runs in Mohali. Punjab Kings have won three of the last five games against RCB.
