In the second match, Zimbabwe showcased a much better batting performance. Zimbabwe scored a competitive 152-run total in the first innings with Shuma top-scoring with 46 off 27 balls. Ryan Burl scored 37 off 33 balls. Getkate was the pick of the bowlers for Ireland, picking 3 for 20 in 4 overs.

Ireland, however, made sure they chased down the total this time around. Kevin O Brien and Paul Sterling took the onus upon themselves and led the way with the bat. O Brien scored 60 runs off 41 balls, while Sterling amassed 37 off 29 deliveries. The duo made the chase easy for the other batsmen to follow. George Dockrell, later, ensured he stayed unbeaten on 33 off 29 balls to guide the team to a 7 wicket win in the end.
