Liam Livingstone Admits "Surprise" At England Test Call-Up Before Playing Mind Games With Rivals

Liam Livingstone who is famous for his white ball heroics has astoundingly received a call-up to Test Team. Liam Livingstone has the skill of bowling off-spin as well as leg spin. He could be the trump card for England in Pakistani conditions as he can provide some lusty blows for the team at the back end of the innings.

Under the leadership of Brendon McCullum, England Side has become a force to reckon with. The team all of a sudden looks like a powerful unit. It won’t be wrong to say that England has revolutionized Test Cricket.

“Stokesy had just asked if I still wanted to play Test cricket so there was that little steer that maybe there was a chance. But you never know until they actually pick you. Then Baz rang me and just said that I was going. I was over the moon.”  said Livingstone

“The biggest step in international cricket, and people say this about Test cricket, is dealing with the intense scrutiny and pressure when playing for your country.”  he added.

“But I believe you learn how to deal with all of that much more in the IPL than you would in a four-day county game. So, yeah, moving up to Test cricket is me being thrown in the deep end. But some people can swim, some people can’t. I feel ready to swim.”  he concluded.

Stern Test for England

The conditions in Pakistan would be quite different as compared to England. Moeen Ali’s refusal to come back to England Test Team setup is a huge blow as he knows how to fox the batters with variations.

It would be interesting to see what strategy Brendon McCullum applies as the so-called ‘Bazball’ has been effective so far. England would be hoping to drag down Pakistan from the WTC (World Test Championship) table just like they did with New Zealand, India, and South Africa.
