England beat the Men in Green by 26 runs in the second Test at the Multan Cricket Stadium on Monday to clinch the series with a match to spare and take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. Former Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Kamran Akmal feels that England have completely outplayed Pakistan in the first two matches of the ongoing Test series.

Chasing 355 runs for victory, Pakistan put up a brave fight but were bowled out for 328 runs in the second session on the fourth day of the match. It was their third consecutive home Test defeat, following a loss to Australia earlier this year. England won their first series in Pakistan since 2000-01, with Mark Wood taking four wickets for 65 runs.

They Never Looking Under Any Kind Of Pressure – Kamran Akmal

Akmal mentioned on his YouTube channel that England’s batsmen and bowlers were spot-on with both bat and ball during the Test series win over Pakistan. The 40-year-old noted that the visitors did not seem under any pressure on Pakistani soil and praised their bowling for getting breakthroughs at the right time.

“England won the game because of their planning, and they also played some good cricket. They changed their captain and coach very recently, and yet they came to Pakistan with so much clarity.”

“They played on their own terms. They batted how they wanted to, never looking under any kind of pressure. The same goes for their bowling as well, as they were able to get breakthroughs at the right time.”

Pakistan Have Only Themselves To Blame For The Loss – Kamran Akmal

Akmal further stated that Pakistan are entirely responsible for their loss, blaming their batting order blunders. The former wicketkeeper-batsman slammed the team management for sending off Faheem Ashraf and Mohammad Nawaz ahead of Agha Salman. He also criticized Nawaz for not converting his start and leading his team to victory despite getting off to a good start with the bat.

“Pakistan have only themselves to blame for the loss. Is Faheem Ashraf a No.6 batter, or is Agha Salman a No.8 batter? Mohammad Nawaz scored 40-odd runs, and the coach hugged him after that because maybe the coach had sent him at that position. The player will be happy, thinking that the coach is satisfied with his efforts.”
