Pakistan batter Fakhar Zaman has made a massive rise in the ICC ODI Player rankings. He jumped 8 spots up and is now the second highest-ranked batter in the 50-over format just after his skipper Babar Azam.

The main reason behind Fakhar Zaman’s massive rise has been his red-hot form in the ongoing ODI series against New Zealand. The southpaw has looked a class apart in the first two games and has smashed two back-to-back centuries.

In the first game, Fakhar Zaman scored 117 runs in Rawalpindi and then followed it up with a blistering unbeaten 180-run knock. Notably, this was his third ton on the trot.

Fakhar Zaman after his two tons earned the career-best rating of 784 points and is trailing his skipper Babar Azam, who is the No.1 ODI-ranked batter, by 103 rating points. He was the main reason behind his team’s win in the first two games and if he continues doing the same, he can surpass Babar as well.
