In a surprising turn of events, Delhi Capitals (DC) chairman and co-owner Parth Jindal and Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson were seen engaging in a cordial interaction along with RR owner Manoj Badale following the IPL 2024 clash at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Tuesday, May 7.

The latest video of Jindal’s meeting with Samson and Badale left everyone on splits, as the DC chairman was the person who was seen supporting the controversial call by the TV umpire to dismiss Samson during the DC vs RR clash in Delhi.

In the viral video, Jindal was heard saying 'Out Hai, Out Hain' (It's out) and signaling for Samson to leave the field after the RR skipper was controversially given out by the third umpire during DC’s 20-run win over the Royals in the 56th match of the ongoing IPL 2024 on Tuesday.

While batting at 86, Samson struck a delivery from Mukesh Kumar and was caught by Shai Hope near the long-off boundary. However, the TV replays failed to provide clear evidence on whether the catch was taken cleanly by Hope, leading to the DC being granted the benefit of this situation.

However, in the latest video shared by DC on their social media platform X, Jindal and Samson were spotted having an amicable conversation while RR owner Badale also joined them at Kotla and it surprised many fans.

After DC’s close win over RR, Jindal met and greeted Samson and the RR owner, which surprised many given his animated gesture towards the RR skipper during the heat of the moment in the game.

Sharing a short clip on X, DC wrote in the caption: “Our Chairman and Co-owner, Parth Jindal, caught up with Rajasthan Royals’ captain Sanju Samson & owner Manoj Badale, at the Arun Jaitley Stadium last night, after what was an exceptional contest of cricket. Parth also extended his congratulations to the RR skipper on being selected for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.”

Well, DC’s post went viral on social media in no time and fans think this was just to police the image of their co-owner Jindal. Commenting on DC’s post, an X user wrote: “Sanju dosen't want to talk to him. This is a made-up story guys don't fall in this trap.”

Another user came up with a surprising opinion as he wrote in the comment box, “PR team rushed to make this happen. How does it answer the insensitiveness as an owner? Also, why comments are closed? Everything points to a poor PR stunt.”

Another X user commented by saying, “They know they had to tweet this after the owner's reaction to Sanju wicket.”

Here are a few reactions:

Notably, Samson was fined 30% of his match fee for his outburst at the umpires. His wicket turned out to be the turning point of the match as DC managed to pull off a 20-run win over the RR. With this win, DC jumped to the 5th spot in the standings with 12 points from 12 games.
