The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) right-arm pacer Mohammed Siraj was seen emulating the famous celebration of Suryakumar Yadav after dismissing the Gujarat Titans (GT) opener Wriddhiman Saha for a low score in the 52nd match of the Indian Premier League 2024 (IPL 2024) on Saturday, May 4, at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Saha has been going through a lean patch in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). GT would have expected him to return to form in the match against RCB, but the batter once again failed and was cleaned up for a 7-ball 1.

On the third ball of the second over, Mohammed Siraj bowled a short delivery outside off-stump and the GT wicketkeeper-batsman went for a cut shot.

He didn't make a good connection with the ball and only got an outside edge. The ball went straight into the hands of Dinesh Karthik, who completed an easy catch. After picking the early wicket, Mohammed Siraj was delighted and he pulled off a Suryakumar Yadav-like 'I'm here celebration'.

5(4) vs RCB

39(25) vs DC

13(11) vs PBKS

2(10) vs DC

11(13) vs PBKS

25(13) vs SRH

21(17) vs CSK

19(15) vs MI

Earlier, Royal Challengers Bengaluru won the toss and opted to bowl first in the match. They didn't make any major changes to their playing XI, but GT brought Joshua Little and Manav Suthar to their side.

Meanwhile, this is the second time GT and RCB are taking on each other in IPL 2024. In their first match, a century from Will Jacks helped RCB seal a 9-wicket win with 24 balls remaining against the IPL 2022 champions.

Speaking ahead of the match, Mohammed Siraj's teammate Glenn Maxwell said that he is looking forward to having some success at the back end of the competition. He said:

"Looking forward to having a little bit of success at the back end of this tournament. The hard thing about being on the road going from tournament to tournament is the adaptability that you have to have. It's a busy year but I am so grateful to have the support from them the whole way through."

Glenn Maxwell further hoped for a great batting show from Royal Challengers Bengaluru and said that he wants to stick to his strengths. Glenn Maxwell stated:

"(Approach with the bat) Hopefully it's the same as the other night where I don't have to bat (chuckles), but I have been really confident with the stuff that I have been doing at training, I don't think that's changed too much. My mindset hasn't quite been as clear as it has been in the past and that can happen when you are striving for runs. You feel like you are in good form at the start of the tournament and you try too hard to get your innings going without worrying about the process at the start. Focusing on that, making sure that I am sticking to my strengths and sticking to what makes me a successful player."
