The 30-year-old South Africa National Cricket Team wicketkeeper-batter Quinton de Kock didn’t keep wickets in the 23rd match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 against Bangladesh National Cricket Team at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Tuesday, October 24.

Quinton de Kock batted very well against the Bangla Tigers and played a fantastic innings. He was off to a cautious in the match and he also lost his opening partner Reeza Hendricks early. Soon Rassie van der Dussen got out, but the wicketkeeper-batter stood strong on one end.

He stitched together an amazing 131 runs in 137 balls with Aiden Markram to bring South Africa into a dominant position in the match. Although he lost his skipper in the 31st over, he kept batting brilliantly and smashed a spectacular hundred.

Quinton de Kock also added a marvelous 142 runs in 87 balls with Heinrich Klaasen and together the duo destroyed the Bangladesh bowling unit. The Bangladesh bowlers didn’t do much wrong in the game and they were good with their lines and lengths but the Proteas batters were just a little too good in the match.

The wicketkeeper-batter smashed 174 runs in 140 balls, with 15 fours and 7 sixes to power South Africa to a total of 382/5 in 50 overs. However, Quinton de Kock wasn’t seen on the field in the second innings and Heinrich Klaasen was seen donning the wicket-keeping gloves.
