WWE NXT Wrestler Carmelo Hayes Responds After Fans Find Uncanny Resemblance With Hardik Pandya

NXT wrestler Carmelo Hayes began trending on Twitter in India after fans found a resemblance to Indian all-rounder, Hardik Pandya.

On Thursday, pictures started making the rounds of Hardik and Hayes, showing striking similarities in their facial appearance. As he began trending in India, the wrestler tweeted thanking Hardik.

“Ask Hardik Pandya why he is not playing Ranji Trophy?” – Chetan Sharma

Meanwhile, the Indian T20I squad was announced for the upcoming Sri Lanka series and it didn’t feature Hardik. He is on the road to recovery from his fitness issues but he has opted against playing in the Ranji. This might have been a factor in his exclusion, chairman of selectors, Chetan Sharma explained.

“If somebody does not want to play, the selection committee does not interfere, in the state matters. You can ask Hardik why he is not playing Ranji Trophy? We are seeing those who are playing Ranji Trophy and those who are performing. We are happy to see players playing Ranji Trophy and performing,” he said.

India is now testing other options and the one that has impressed the most is Venkatesh Iyer. He has performed well as the finisher and has chipped in with the ball as well. However, this doesn’t mean that Hardik will fall out of favor suddenly.

“Look, definitely Hardik was a very important part of the Indian team. (But) after the injuries, we will now say that if he is 100 percent fit, ready to go and also if he is bowling and match fitness and all, we will consider him immediately,” Chetan added.
