Recently, the reports surfaced that Amitabh Bachchan was interested in buying IPL stakes. However, the man himself clears the air quoting that the reports haven’t got any truth to it. The legendary Bollywood person quoted that the news was incorrect, which was being spread out from the last 24 hours of time.

As per the report, they first approached Chennai Super Kings and later approached one-time champion Rajasthan Royals. “Yes, Abhishek (Bachchan) met Manoj Badale in London some time ago,” Ramesh Pulapaka, CEO of AB Corp, was quoted as saying by The Times of India.

Amitabh Bachchan clears the air:

Last week, a report in PTI had also suggested the owners of the franchise are looking forward to selling half of their stakes in the franchise and Bachchans’ interest in the getting stakes in the franchise further confirms the news.

However, speaking to ANI,  the legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan quoted ”This news is incorrect.” Perhaps, this would be the end of the reports, as the news was a big buzz from the last day.

The Rajasthan Royals ownership has already seen several changes in ownership. The actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra were forced to exit the league as the team returned to the IPL after a two-year suspension following the match-fixing allegations.

Meanwhile,  it comes to know that Rajasthan Royals are eyeing to add some Bollywood quotient to the franchise for the endorsing reasons. It certainly boosted the value of reports but unfortunately, all ended in a bleak way for the fans.

Coming to Rajasthan Royals, they have won the inaugural edition of Indian Premier League way back in 2008 under Shane Warne captaincy. However, since then, they always ended up on the wrong side of things for obvious reasons.
