India skipper Virat Kohli turned 32 on Thursday and as expected wishes poured in from all quarters. Cricketers from present and past as well as fans have flooded the social media platforms with birthday wishes for arguably the best batsman in the world at present.

He has amassed 11,867 runs with the help of 43 tons in 248 ODIs. Virat Kohli has represented India in 86 Test matches, scoring 7240 runs with the highest of 254*. In T20I cricket, he has played 82 matches and scored 2794 runs.

England cricket’s swipe at Virat Kohli:

While the cricket world was busy praising Kohli and lauding his achievements with the bat, England Cricket Board (ECB) decided to do something else. Virat Kohli has delivered numerous memorable performances in England but ECB decided to post a clip of his dismissal on his birthday.

The ECB posted the famous delivery bowled by Adil Rashid to the India captain during the third and final ODI between the two countries in 2018. Kohli was left pretty dumbfounded as Rashid’s delivery on leg stump, ran past his outside-edge and struck the off-stump.

Posting the clip on Facebook, ECB cheekily wrote: “Happy birthday Virat Kohli ?”

Unsurprisingly, most of the fans were not amused with ECB’s post and did not waste much time in hitting out at the cricket board.
