Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh Likely to Visit USA for a Fan Interaction Programme

The Indian wrist spinning duo of Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav has been quite sensational in the ODI series against the Proteas. The whole world has taken notice of them. The duo ended the with 33 wickets between them. Among the people who are speaking about them, Harbhajan Singh and Anil Kumble are two prominent faces.

However, they could well be speaking about them in USE, rather than in India. The former spin bowling partners will be part of a fan interaction programme in New York on 24^th February. It will serve as a promotional event of the Indian Premier League. The stadium in the USA is expected to garner a lot of fans while the spin legends will speak on different aspects of the game.

Hotstar-The Event Organiser

The event is being organized by Hotsar which happens to be the digital partner of the tournament. It made entry in the US market only last year. Besides Hotstar, IPL matches will be available live on Willow Channel in the US.

Meanwhile, it will be a sort of comeback for Anil Kumble to mainstream cricket. He stepped down from the position of India’s head coach last year after India’s shocking defeat to Pakistan in the Champions Trophy. He will now fly to US for the programme. However, he will also be part of the commentary panel of the league on Star Network.

There is no doubt about the fact that with the sort of experience Kumble has he will surely fit into an expert’s role without much difficulty. However, his role in the IPL will depend on who win s the production contract of the league. The bids will be opening from Monday.
