Perhaps in many years, this Border-Gavaskar trophy has been about India a bit more. Over the years, we’ve seen the Aussies dominating the series, be it on the India soil or their home turf. Meanwhile, the bowling legend, Shane Warne has showered praises on the new spin sensation, Kuldeep Yadav; as India’s unorthodox bowler has picked his maiden five-wicket haul in Tests in Australia. On day four of the SCG Test, Kuldeep completed his second five-for in Tests, helping India wrap Australia’s first innings on 300.

During the Sydney Test, Warne was seen giving some tips to Kuldeep. The clips showed Warne was letting Kuldeep know about giving more flight to the batsmen, and how he can use his arm well. However, Kuldeep applied himself better, as he earned rewards for bowling well. Shane Warne has now praised the Indian spinner, claiming it has been a pleasure watching him bowl.

“Well bowled & congrats on your 5 wicket haul also, thankyou for your very kind words – it’s been a pleasure to work with you & watch you bowl my friend!”

India on the verge of a series win in Australia

Courtesy a five-wicket haul from Kuldeep at the SCG, Australia has been found wanting. In their first innings, they have been all out for 300, trailing India behind 322 runs. However, the rain and bad light had played a spoil-sport on day three and four; as the game, on both the days got halted.

Meanwhile, Kuldeep Yadav had made it to the ESPNcricinfo’s 2018 ODI Team of the Year; as the left-arm unorthodox spinner had an eventful last year. Not only he picked a five-for against England in a T20I, ODI game, he also claimed his maiden five-wicket haul in Tests against Windies in Rajkot.
