Legendary Australian spinner Shane Warne has taken a dig at the pace battery putting forward some interesting statistics and saying that it is not only the batters who are struggling in the ongoing series against Indian National Cricket team.

Meanwhile, the current crop of Australia’s fast bowlers are tipped as the best in the world. Although they have proved their potential time and again, the Indian batters have dragged them to a pretty average level. The likes of Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, and Mayank Agarwal have dominated the proceedings on their own terms.

Apart from Nathan Lyon, only Pat Cummins was impressive in the last Test bagging a six-wicket haul. He has been the standout performer for Australia at Melbourne picking nine wickets in the game. On the other hand, Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood looked ordinary throughout the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Shane Warne provided some crucial statistics as he slammed the quicks. His statistics prove that the Australian pacers have struggled to bowl at the stumps thus managing to effect no LBWs. On the other hand, India have 8 to their name including Jasprit Bumrah’s six.

Not a good stat/fact for this series. Aust’s quicks have bowled 2592 balls & only 205 balls would have gone on to hit the stumps. India have 8 LBW’s (Bumrah has 6), Aust 1 (Lyon has the 1), yep that means not one LBW for Aust’s quicks. So not just the batting that’s struggling,” Shane Warne tweeted.

Soon after Shane Warne pointed it out, former Aussie skipper Michael Clarke second the statement labeling it as unbelievable.

That is an unbelievable stat… only one LBW in the series for the Aussies…..” Clarke said in agreement.
