The Indian skipper Virat Kohli has added another feather to his illustrious cap. Kohli completed 19000 International runs when he scored 11 runs in the first innings of the ongoing final and fourth Test match against Australia. Kohli is in sublime form and remained unbeaten on 23 runs at the Tea Break.

Virat Kohli became the third Indian batsman to achieve the landmark after Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid. Sachin Tendulkar scored 34357 runs in his career which spanned for 24 years. On the other hand, Rahul Dravid amassed 24208 runs in his career. Kohli became the 12th overall batsman to get to the milestone.

Kohli creates another record.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli has collected 6613 Test runs in 77 matches, 10,232 runs in the ODI career of 216 matches and 2167 runs in 65 T20I matches.

Kohli had scored a fine hundred of 123 in the first innings of the second Perth Test match. However, Kohli’s effort went in vain as India lost the second game by 146 runs.

Furthermore, Virat Kohli scored a fine knock of 82 runs in the first innings of the third Test match at MCG. He stitched a gargantuan partnership of 170 runs with Chetheshwar Pujara to take India to a fine total of 443 runs.

Subsequently, India won the third Test match by 137 runs and took a 2-1 lead in the four-match series. Thus, India has retained the Border-Gavaskar trophy.

Both Pujara and Kohli have added an alliance of 54 runs and would look to get India into a commanding position. Mayank Agarwal scored a fine knock of 77 runs before playing a rash shot to get out to Nathan Lyon. However, KL Rahul continued his dismal form as he scored only nine runs in his knock and looked vulnerable during his stay.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli could score only 23 runs after he was strangled down the leg-side by Josh Hazlewood.
