Former India batsman VVS Laxman feels that India will impose significant pressure on Australia and they will win the four-match Test series by 3-1. The veteran had recently launched his autobiography named ‘281 and beyond.’ Australia will be without the services of Steven Smith and David Warner. Thus, it will be a golden opportunity for them to savour success on the Australian soil for the first time.

However, India needs to be wary of Australia pace trio who can impose a threat to India. Meanwhile, Indian batsmen could not come up with a collective batting effort on the England tour. Virat Kohli was the lone warrior and the same cannot be the case on the Australian tour.

India will have their opportunity to dominate over the hosts. VVS Laxman also added that it is not because Aussies will miss their two crucial players – Steven Smith and David Warner. The duo is serving a ban of 12 months for involvement in the ball-tampering scandal earlier this year in South Africa.

The 44-year-old also praised Virat Kohli’s men as they had enough potential and quality players in their side. He adviced that the visitors should play accordingly to put pressure on the hosts.

“There will be no possibilities of drawing as its difficult to make a draw in Australian conditions. India will not get an opportunity to make it happen not because Steven Smith and David Warner is not playing in the Australian team. India has quality players to achieve it. Lets hope, they fulfil my prediction as because India has talent, potential and they should play according to it,” VVS Laxman said in an interview with Sports Tak.

India will play four Test matches commencing from December 6 at Adelaide. However, before that, there will be a four-day practice match at Sydney Cricket Ground from November 28.
