Australia paceman Josh Hazlewood knows one day win doesn’t make a summer. He also feels they should now be more relaxed entering Sunday’s series decider in Hobart. Cricket Australia had to face a lot of controversies since the side was engaged in a ball-tampering scandal in South Africa.

However, Steven Smith and David Warner is serving a ban for twelve months and could not partake in any international games. Meanwhile, Cameron Bancroft is serving a ban for nine months.

Australia gets the much-needed win.

Hazlewood believes his team should now be more relaxed entering Sunday’s series decider in Hobart.

“It will probably relax the guys a little bit if anything. It’s a little bit of relief, I guess. “It’s a good step moving forward to get one on the board… (but) we know one win doesn’t make a summer. It makes tomorrow (Sunday) a pretty important game for us to try and win the series.” Josh Hazlewood said.

Moreover, Australia defended a modest total of 231 runs against the Proteas at Adelaide. The ground was filled by 17680 spectators where the capacity of the field is more than 53,000.

“Whenever we play one-day cricket before test cricket in the summer, the crowds don’t tend to come as much as they do in January and February when we’re playing one-dayers,” Hazlewood added. “Maybe everyone is holding out for the test match.”

While captain Aaron Finch had said before the match off-field issues might have been causing “doubts” among his side. Josh Hazlewood felt the opposite was the case, and they were making sure they concentrate on getting it right on the field.
